Name That Zebra

Coop loves his zebra. Last night Len started calling it "ZZ" (ZeeZee?), but I think it needs a better name, any suggestions?

Just Hangin' Out

We've been very busy lately, with playgroups, friends, shopping, but sometimes Coop likes to just hang out and relax with his favorite blankie.

TV Party Tonight

Coop loves to watch tv. His favorite show is Top Chef, he also likes to watch the Mets, but he gets pretty upset when they don't win.

Happy Happy Joy Joy

Coop amazes us every single day with the emergence of new skills and behaviors; he's holding his head up a lot more, he's grabbing and holding toys. Last night, he had a little tantrum, his first. He was tired and it was dinner time for Mel and me... so I put him in the swing and he started screaming. From that point it was a battle of wills: Me vs. Coop and Mel. (Mel wasn't screaming, but she was taking Coop's side on this one.) He finally fell asleep (for 7 minutes) and we kind of got to eat. He recovered and had a great bath and rest of the night.

Today, with no signs of any emotional scars, Coop has acted as if it has literally been the happiest day of his life. He has been laughing and squealing with joy all day. It's as if he just discovered what an amazing mom he has because every time I've held him today, and he sees Mel, he just cracks up and coos with happiness. Whenever we've tried to capture his expressiveness in photos before, he always turns on his stone, game-face for the camera... but today, in between squeals, chuckles, and ear-to-ear smiles, we caught these photos.

Doing Lunch

Coop and I had lunch with friends today. He's getting much better, I almost got to eat half my sandwich before he woke up and needed immediate attention (thanks Laurie, for letting me eat!).

Tiffany and Jason just got back from France and they got Coop this super cool french shirt. He loves it so much, he was hugging it very tightly and wouldn't let go when I showed it to him yesterday, and then he insisted on wearing it today.

Magic Numbers

Coop is 3 months old today! And he is 13 pounds 10 ounces and 25 inches tall.

Big Night

Doesn't he look well rested? He slept 9 hours last night!!!

Block Party

Coop got some new blocks this week, and I think he really likes them. He likes to hold one while he's napping, it's very cute.
