Isn't it amazing that you can walk in to a dentist's office with a small gum infection and walk out an hour later with them telling you that you need $1000 of dental work. Can it be true? Is it a scam? What do you think?
they have been telling me to get my wisdom teeth out for years and I never have. a second opinion might be in order, or a policy of waiting until you're in unbearable pain (which hopefully never happens).
When they told me I needed my wisdom teeth removed, I was totally unaware there was a problem. I was insured, so it wasn't a big deal as far as the cost went. And the drugs were pretty good.
But the stitches were bitches and made me wonder if the whole thing was just a big scam as well.
I have patients walk in to my office to have their hearing tested thinking that their only problem is that their wives mumble and walk out after being told that they need $2000.00 hearing aids, so yes, I can believe it! Do you have good dental insurance? If so, I wouldn't hesitate, if not, maybe get a second opinion.
Welcome to the Mellen Patch, a nice spot in Southern California down San Diego way... The Patch is in a new phase of development: It's pretty much all Cooper all the time. Life since his arrival - May 20th, 2007 - has been both challenging and magical. We'll do our best to spare you the challenging bits. Thanks for stopping by.

I follow the unbearable pain philosophy... but it doesn't always work out so well. (And it drives Mel crazy!)
