Cooper Charlie Levin
It's been a whirlwind 72-plus hours. Briefly...
Mel went into labor early Saturday morning; we went to the hospital at 11 am, followed by 13 more hours of "fun", then finally a C-section delivery at 12:35 AM, Sunday, May 20th. Lotsa love and thanks to Tiffany and Jason, and Karen who helped us out so much the day Cooper came into the world.
Mel and Coop are doing pretty well. They are scheduled to come home on Thursday, so check back then for some very cute pics of the little guy. Just to whet your appetite, I think he is pretty gorgeous. He slept on my chest twice today. I think he's warming up to us...

Okay, your room is ready
Since the furniture was just assembled yesterday, the room is of course, not decorated yet. But here is a photo of the crib with the crib skirt and blanket I made for it (yesterday, Len was wondering if I was 'nesting', when I was frantically sewing this stuff). I will definitely post more photos when the room is a little more finished. And in other updates, still pregnant!

Baby Stuff
I was going to do a post about the ultrasound I had this week, I always like those pictures. But it didn't occur to me that we wouldn't get a good shot, since of course the baby is now so big, you can't really get a good look at the whole picture, just individual parts, a foot, a hand. It all looked pretty abstract to me. The surprising thing, is that they are predicting I will have a 9 pound baby (yikes!), but I have been told that these measurements are not always accurate.
So instead I will post a couple of shots that my mom took of us trying to pick out nursery furniture (we're not as miserable as we look, just kinda tired) . This was a few weeks ago (as you might be able to tell by how tiny my belly is), we are now waiting, longer than anticipated, since there has been a delay and the furniture is coming from NY. But once it gets here, I think it will be very nice.
